“Whiskey,” is a song by a Nigerian Grammy Award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu aka Burnaboy. 

The song “Whiskey,” premiered on July 8, 2022. It is one of the songs in Burnaboy’s just-released 19-track album titled “Love, Damini.”

What is the song “Whiskey,” by Burnaboy all about?

Burnaboy in the song “Whiskey,” is bothered about the economic situation of the country. He is bothered about its unfavorable state which leaves citizens depressed.

Some of the unfavorable conditions Burnaboy mentioned are lack of jobs, hypocrisy, people acting holier than thou, political greed, power failure, flood, and so on.

Whenever Burnaboy takes liquor over all these issues, he may end up staggering or falling. According to him, his “staggering,” or “falling” is not because he is sick or he is suffering from a particular disability, it can be linked to these economic issues.
