“The School for Good and Evil,” Plot Summary

Sophie (Acted by Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Acted by Sofia Wylie) have been inseparable best friends since childhood. They always have each other’s back and often move around together.

Sophie and Agatha live in Gavaldon town, even though Sophie was already tired of the town and wanted to leave Gavaldon at all costs.

One day while at a bookshop, a bookkeeper tells Sophie and Agatha about “The School for Good and Evil.” Sophie is fascinated by the magical school since it is a school that protects the balance between Good and Evil, and aspiring heroes and villains are trained in fairy tales.

Sophie shows more interest in the school and writes about her desire to enroll in it. Soon, her desire is granted.

Moments after, a magical large bird appears and carries away Sophie and Agatha flying them to “The School for Good and Evil.”

The large bird drops Sophie at the “School for Evil,” where she is welcomed by the school’s dean (Acted by Charlize Theron) while Agatha is dropped at the “School for Good” where she is welcomed by the school’s dean (Acted by Kerry Washington.)

Sophie has always wanted to be in the “School for Good,” so she is not happy that the large bird dropped her in the “School for Evil.” Meanwhile, Agatha is indifferent about the “School for Good,” and just wants to go back home.

In the school, Sophie and Agatha find out that three failures in a task have grievous consequences. They also find out about Rafal’s fight with his brother Rhain, and how Rafal greedily wanted to possess all the magical powers and control the schools.

Meanwhile, being in different schools separates the two friends temporarily. Since Agatha and Sophia hardly stay away from each other, they look for ways to reconnect.

Agatha and Sophie finally reconnect after surmounting some hurdles. Sophie grumbles about being placed in the wrong school when she and Agatha meet the schoolmaster (Acted by Laurence Fishburne) and expresses her desire to transfer. The schoolmaster tells Sophie that it is only a true love’s kiss that can make her transfer to the other school.

Sophie searches for a true love kiss from the prince’s son, Tedros (Acted by Jamie Flatters) but discovers that the true love kiss is not from Tedros but someone else.
