“That Guy,” is a song by Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Zlatan Ibile.
The song is off his “Resan,” album. It has three verses. The pre-chorus and chorus were sung thrice. The artist sang in pidgin.
What is the song “That Guy,” by Zlatan all about?
”That Guy,” in this song sees Zlatan identifying the kind of guy he would not like to be. According to Zlatan, he doesn’t want to be the type of guy that would fall from grace to grass; that is, a period when you move from something/abundance to nothing.
He also doesn’t want to be proud or be the type of guy that disappoint people. He also doesn’t want to work in vain.
He believes in life, we need each other’s help. He also believes there is time for everything; so, treating people nicely would help give people a better tomorrow.
Zlatan is also thankful to God for life and how far he has come. He is praying to God that he should not go backward in life
