The song “Deceive,” by Yemi Alade ft Rudeboy is about a couple “acted by Yemi Alade and Rudeboy,” having issues in their marriage and wanting to go their separate ways. There was a lack of communication between them and they had trust issues as well. Yemi Alade accused Rudeboy of being deceitful and adulterous, while Rudeboy accused Yemi of being extravagant, and disrespectful.
Lyrically: The song comes in two verses taken by Yemi Alade and Rudeboy respectively. The chorus and post-chorus were taken twice, and majorly by Yemi Alade. The artist sang in pidgin.
