Can’t be together is a love song whereby the artist despite the intense love she has for her partner chose to let him go or better still separate from him. It is not clear why she keeps saying she loves him, but can’t be with him. It however seems there is an issue of unrequited love where one party is giving the love, and the other party is receiving it.
